Welcome to the Shiny Server at the Max Planck Institute für die Physik des Lichts

Wehner Laboratory’s High-Throughput Data Online Resource

The Wehner Group, based at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light and the Max-Planck-Zentrum für Physik und Medizin in Erlangen, investigates the remarkable ability of zebrafish to regenerate spinal connections and recover locomotor function following injury. We aim to understand how these animals accomplish this complex task with the ultimate goal of using this knowledge to develop therapeutic interventions to promote regeneration in humans. As part of our work, we generate high-throughput datasets, which we are pleased to share with the research community through this shiny server. If you find these resources helpful in your work, please cite the original research papers associated with them.

Datasets

A time-resolved single-cell transcriptome atlas of spinal cord regeneration in zebrafish larvae. The atlas covers the entire regeneration time course with high temporal resolution from the early injury phase at 6 hours until 48 hours after spinal cord injury (hpl) when axon regeneration has completed. Please cite the accompanying paper by John et al. 2025. bioRxiv. This dataset is visualized with an interactive dashboard created with the Bioconductor iSEE package (Rue-Albrecht. 2018. F1000Research). For more information on using iSEE, see also https://iSEE.github.io.
